Hypnotize Your Mind To Lose Weight

February 16th, 2009

Our brain is a complex organ. In spite of many studies, scientists are yet to map out all its hidden potentials. One of the potentials of our brain is to command our body and control our bodily needs. For example, our body may assume that we are hungry, however, if our brain directs it that it is not, we wouldn’t feel hungry. It may sound ridiculous, but it does happen.

Using hypnosis, we can control our mind. Many of the brain’s potentials are yet to surface but using hypnosis, we can reset our brain to feel less hunger thereby directing our stomach to be accustomed to relatively lesser amounts of food than it had got used to. This can spell into a lot of advantages for you. If you were to eat relatively lesser, your calorie intake would decrease. That ways, your body will have to meet the energy requirements from your stored fats. Thus, over a period of time, you would begin to lose that stored fat which is visible externally.

Once you begin to look better, you’ll feel healthier too. That will help you to be more energetic which means that you will spend more time with your loved ones doing many other activities than just watching television. You may even stop sleeping for long hours. Hypnosis is a way of resetting your mind to how it was supposed to function before it got used to your sedentary, inactive lifestyle. Your overall personality will get a lift and there will be more people who would get attracted to your positive vibes.

Even though hypnosis is subjective and may not be quite as effective for you as it may be for someone else, I suggest that you should give it a shot if you have a problem with your lifestyle or with your health in general. Considering the advantages that you may reap if it works, I am sure you wouldn’t regret it.

Vegetarian Weight Loss

Many people think that when it comes to losing weight, vegetarians have it easy. I beg to differ. Many vegetarian products have equal, if not more, amount of oil and other components which definitely add extra calories. If not careful, a person can become overweight on a vegetarian diet itself. However, for a vegetarian, the plan to lose weight is quite simple. Just cut down on your oil and junk foods and you are already on your way to reducing weight.

But even that is easier said than done. To help such vegetarians, here is a list of do’s and don’ts, which will guide any vegetarian to help shed those extra kilos.

To begin with, monitor your junk food intake and anything more than the bare minimum must be restricted. Fast foods are generally high in calories and if you eat a lot of burgers or pizzas you are bound to becoming overweight. Cut down on these foods and replace them with low calories items like yoghurt and toned milk. Even your sugar consumption must be monitored. Another thing that you must avoid is coffee and liquor. They reduce the absorption of vital nutrients thus causing more harm than good. Substitutes like juices or milk are better.

Stock up on proteins. These are your building blocks and will help in enhancing your health. Also, increase the intake of dietary fibers. Roughage is special as it reduces the absorption of oils and also gives you the feeling of fullness after a meal without addition of too many calories.

Don’t hesitate to take supplements of trace minerals or vitamins as well. These will definitely help in making you feel healthier without adding on calories. Also, consumption of seeds as well as nuts is a good idea. Since they contain omega 3 essential fatty acids, they help in many metabolic functions of the body.

Lastly, there’s no getting away from exercising. Routine exercising will increase your stamina as well as keep your body functions in top shape.
